~ Rene had been in town only a few days now and so far she loved it. Of course Otero was completely different from New Orleans in the since that it was quieter and easy going which were pro's in her book. From what she had observed was that everyone was pleasant but still kept to them selves especially when it came to the older folks or elders as she had heard. Kilo of course being well Kilo was the exception, which was primarily why her and R seemed to just connect in a way. She figured that aside from having a very similar personality, it might also have been the fact that they didn't grow up in New Mexico.
After getting the text she had been getting the past few days, R hadn't gotten a restful night sleep since arriving. So R decided that the best thing for her to do was to arm herself maybe this would put her at ease, well being a new resident she wanted to do it right. After exploring the town a bit, she found the Gundamental Rights gun shop which she had hear little things about. Walking in her boots knocking against the floor, she stood in amusement at the store. Walking over to one of the cases, she let her fingers glide along the edge as she looked at the beautiful choices~end

She'd find a plethora of choices, and not just what you might think you'd find in a 'gun store' out in what most might call the sticks. Oh, sure, it had its share of more or less old school armaments but it had more than enough of the newer, more "tactical" variations on things. It also had bows, knives, and a plethora of hunting and trapping gear there as well. After all, when you had limited customers in the community, you had to be varied. The glass cases were new, as well as the cases on the walls, but for the most part? It was all old, well taken care of, hardwood; oak to be specific.
Behind that main desk though, with a Full Rail Sprinfield Armory 1911A1 OPERATOR pistol in left hand a silicone cloth in his left that he was using to polish the barrel, working it into the nooks and crannies and the rail. Those eyes of his, more green than anything else, were flickering upwards right as "R" walked into the shop, studying her quietly as he watched her move along the cases, eyeballing the pieces spread out over there. "If you see anything you like, or have questions about, let me know." Speaking calmly, cooly, directly, before going back to the task on hand.
Her dark brown eyes darting to each weapon that lay in the cases, they were all beautiful in there own way. whether it was the desisgn on the handles or just simply the way they were made. Granted R didn’t know much about weapons, but that didnt mean she couldn’t appreciate the craftsmanship. Hearing the voice from behind the counter, her eyes flashed up meeting his jade ones “Oh thank you, I will ” she flashed him a smile as she moved to the next case, inching closer and close to where he stood.
In all honesty when R. heard about the shop she expected an older man much like her father standing behind the counter, however it was a pleasant surprise to her when she saw the young man. After looking at a few more cases, she let out a small sigh as she turned on her heels facing the man. Tucking a strand of her raven hair behind her ear " Actually I could use your help with something" she said with a smile, walking up to the counter.
